I posted a poll in about 50 vegan Facebook groups asking what kind of vegan cheese brands members liked and these are the top liked and recommended vegan cheese brands from those vegan Facebook groups!
Miyoko’s Cheese! (#1)
Miyoko – the queen of vegan cheese! She has a HUGE variety of outstanding cheeses and they are soo good! Some of her cheeses are a little expensive, but they’re totally worth the cost! Her brand is amazing and out of all the vegan cheese brands, I also highly recommend it! You can also now order her cheeses online! Here’s the link.
Simple, soft, dairy-free cheese made from fermented tofu, fresh tofu, Shiro miso paste, fresh garlic, and seasonings, all rolled in a blend of green herbs! You can find Chao at pretty much any supermarket near you! Click here to use their store locator!
Daiya cheese is one of my favorite vegan cheese brands. I use this cheese when I make grilled cheese sandwiches, burritos, and soups! It melts soo good and tastes amazing!! Daiya also has a large variety of cheeses and dressings available, view them here.
ps: you can get their Variety Deluxe Mac & Cheeses here.
The Violife cream cheese and shredded cheeses are amazing!! Here’s a quote I love from Violife.. “We are a very happy bunch of foodies based in the beautiful surroundings of Thessalonica in Greece. We’ve been dedicated to making amazing tasting, 100% vegan non-dairy, non-GMO foods since the ’90s and we are proud and humbled to be a favorite brand for so many Vegans, Vegetarians, and Flexitarians around the world.”
So Delicious makes a large variety of items such as yogurts, plant-based milks, vegan ice cream, and vegan cheeses! They’ve been at this for over 30 years and their products are literally SO DELICIOUS! They began with a desire to take dairy-free options beyond the milk aisle, and they’ve evolved into a brand that strives to do what’s good for people and the planet! Check out their website! You can also purchase their other products on Amazon (their cheeses are rarely on Amazon due to demand I guess.) Here’s the link!
Follow Your Heart
Famous for their veganaise, Follow Your Heart also makes some great plant-based cheese slices for burgers and grilled cheeses! They also have an awesome recipe section on their website to help you come up with ideas to use their products in! Get their cheese here!
I can personally say that I use and love Go Veggie cheese! They’re one of my favorite vegan cheese brands. The shredded ‘cheese’ melts and stretches just like regular cheese. If you’re a new vegan and you’re trying to transition from being a cheese fanatic, I would definitely say that this cheese should be your go-to! Check out their cheeses here!
